Products Description
The GYTC8S is an exemplary self-supporting fiber optic cable intended for outdoor environments. It is
particularly adept at aerial installations due to its excellent moisture protection and its robustness against
crushing. For underground or duct-based installations, it offers a polyethylene-coated, figure-eight-shaped
metallic strength member for support. The cable's durability is further enhanced by a corrugated steel
tape and a polyethylene outer sheath, which contribute to its crush and bullet-resistant properties. The
steel-wire strength member at the core significantly boosts the cable's tensile strength, complemented by
a surrounding loose tube and a water-blocking mechanism.

In the construction of a Figure 8 non-armoured fiber cable, the following elements are included: a loose
tube made of stranded material for fiber optic protection, a steel wire core for tensile reinforcement, a
core filler compound to keep the cable round, additional fillers for structural integrity, and a steel wire
treated with phosphating or galvanization to resist corrosion.
