GYFTY DI-Electric Un-Armoured Fiber Optic Cable for telecommunications, available in 144 cores and 96 cores configurations.
In the GYFTY cable, single-mode/multimode fibers are positioned in loose tubes made of high modulus plastic materials. The loose tubes are stranded together around a non-metallic central strength member (FRP) into a compact and circular cable core. For high fiber count cables, the strength member is covered with polyethylene (PE). Water-blocking materials are distributed into the interstices of the cable core, which is then completed with a PE sheath.
