GYFTA53 cable is a type of outdoor, armored fiber optic cable designed for long-distance, high-capacity communication networks. It is commonly used in both aerial and underground installations.

Construction Details

Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP Rod) in center of core as non-metallic strength member
Loose Tubes made of PBT (High Modulus Plastic) to withstand wide temperature fluctuations
Tubes and spaces filled with water-resistant jelly compound for moisture protection
Moisture Resistance GEL prevents longitudinal moisture ingress
Fiber distribution varies by count (e.g., 24 fiber cable uses 4 tubes with 6 fibers each)
Tubes bound with cloth binder to maintain circular shape
APL (Aluminium Plastic Lamination Tape) inner armor for flexibility
Thin inner sheath extruded over APL
PSP armor (Plastic Steel Plastic) for radial moisture and crush resistance
Outer HDPE sheath provides UV protection, rodent resistance, and tensile strength
