OPGW represents a cable structure that merges optical fiber transmission with an overhead ground wire for electrical power systems. It acts as both an optical cable and a ground wire, offering lightning protection and the ability to conduct short circuit currents. The OPGW features a stainless steel tube for the optical unit, aluminum-clad steel wire, and aluminum alloy wire. It includes a central stainless steel tube and a stranding layer. The cable's design can be adapted to different environmental conditions and customer specifications.
