The 2-288 fibers are positioned in PBT loose tubes filled with protective gel. Tubes are stranded around the central strength member (Steel or FRP) to form the cable core. The core is filled with water blocking compound and armored with corrugated steel tape (CST). Stranded steel wires serve as the messenger, with a figure-8 PE outer jacket completing the assembly.
