The GYTC8S is a standard self-supporting fiber optic cable, perfect for outdoor aerial use. Its notable
moisture and crush resistance make it viable for duct and burial applications. The cable's metallic strength
member, in the form of a figure-eight strand of wires, is sheathed in polyethylene. The cable's crush
resistance and bullet resistance are thanks to its corrugated steel tape armor and polyethylene outer
sheath. The tensile strength is improved by the central steel-wire strength member, which is
complemented by a loose tube and a water-blocking system.

protection, a central steel wire to strengthen the cable, a core filler compound to ensure a consistent
