OPGW is a cable structure that combines optical transmission with overhead ground wire for power lines.
It functions as both an optical fiber cable and an overhead ground wire, offering protection against lightning
strikes and conducting short circuit currents. The OPGW is composed of a stainless steel tube housing the
optical unit, aluminum-clad steel wire, and aluminum alloy wire. It features a central stainless steel tube
and a layered stranding design. The structure can be customized based on environmental conditions and
customer specifications.
 
Application:
 
Designed to replace old ground wires and integrate with new high-voltage ground wire structures. Provides
lightning protection and carries short circuit currents while offering optical fiber communication capabilities.
